Jubilee Gardens clubs

The Jubilee Gardens work is supported by Heath Evangelical Church and run by its members. There are currently two clubs running every Friday at Maes-y-Coed Community Centre. Click on the name of the club for more information:

Friday Club 5-11 year olds: Friday, 6.00pm

The Hub 11-17 year olds: Friday, 7.45pm

The Friday Club in Jubilee Gardens is now in its 7th year, having been started as a Christmas Club in December 2005 by Alasdair and Carol Denton who had a burden to be an influence for good in their local community. Over these years we have been privileged to have had contact with over 70 youngsters from the local area, about 28 of these from the 31 houses on the Jubilee Gardens estate itself, and with up to 20 children coming regularly each week at times.

Since a year or so ago one of the boys has been bringing a Bible to club most weeks. Another of the boys persistently asked if he could have a Bible of his own, and we gave him one for Christmas that year. Please pray that these Bibles would be read, and that God would speak through them, both to these boys and also to their families. For the final club before the summer holidays last year we held a barbecue at Alasdair and Carol’s for the children and their parents. About 10 of the parents came from Jubilee Gardens, and it was a lovely opportunity to continue to build up relationships with them.

Please pray that God would use the work in Jubilee Gardens to save many families on this estate and in the wider community.
