As promised, the Red Cross gave us nearly 2000kg of food donated by the European Union. This is the first allotment, and then in September & December 2011 we shall receive the rest. We are grateful to the Lord this provision, and we take nothing for granted. As receptors of food for consumption gives us flexibility to identify and help families in special need. Pray for discernment and wisdom. Today, we had 55 people eating at the church. Continue to pray for those from outside the church.
Next 24th June “Chairs & Tables” is on! Pray for a young man F, who lives an isolated life and in need of true friends. Give thanks for a committed group of young people always ready to serve and testify for the Lord.
At the end of May we had as a Church our Annual Ordinary church meeting. Praise the Lord for the sense of unity. We are grateful as a church for his faithfulness reflected in the unction on the ministry and the resources he has placed in our hands. The vision of making disciples and nurturing people in our own houses is proving effective. We are making an effort for caring pastorally for those the Lord has brought to us. Pray for strength and wisdom. The School of Discipleship is due to finish at the end of July. Give thanks to the Lord for each one of those studying and preparing themselves to serve in the church.
Our boys are right in the middle of their exams. Elis is facing the challenges with bravery, he needs it! Joel will finish this year the first period of High School (4 years of Compulsory Secondary Education). Next September he will start in his first year of Baccalaureate (not sure about the spelling). It is time for him to think about future studies. Helen is enjoying her work, in spite of all the hassle to get to work with the public transport. I had some medical test this week and all is well. The diet is working!
Next month we will have a short holiday in Calpe. Give thanks to the Lord for His provision and blessings.
