Pakistan was overwhelmed with the heaviest monsoon rains in living memory in August 2010, which created floods on an unprecedented scale. They have claimed over 1,600 lives, and have affected over 23 million people causing great distress, destruction and disease. The church responded with donations of about £6,500 which were sent to the Prem Fellowship for distribution as relief aid in Pakistan. We are grateful to Rev Roger Pomeroy for administering these gifts on our behalf and to Liaqat for leading the relief work itself in Pakistan, mainly between Multan and Sukkur.

Here is Roger Pomeroy’s report of his recent visit to Pakistan to survey the damage and report on the efforts of the Prem Fellowship to provide aid.
