Valencia, March – April 2021
It has been a year since the Spanish government decided upon good grounds to keep us all at home. Suddenly, the church meeting scheduled for Sunday March 15th was cancelled and our church life has never been the same. At the beginning of March this year, the local government of Valencia again is allowing us to meet at the church premise with 50% maximum capacity. Next 14th March we are looking forward to sharing together in worship and the preaching of the Word. We praise God for this step forward, and even though we’ve had online meetings and face to face prayer meetings, we have been longing to be together. Pray for the Lord’s protection as we follow health protocols. Somehow we have learnt to be a community in a new way which is also real, caring for each other with all the limitations.
Last week we met as Board of Directors for Editorial Peregrino, and we concluded that God’s mercies have been overflowing. We have been able to keep all the workers on the pay roll, and finalized the year with a surplus in our finances. We have scheduled printing new books, hoping to increase previous statistics. Pray for all the workers at the office, translators, and editors. Please remember Matt Hill and family.
We are expecting to distribute food in late March or middle of April. At present we are contacting families, organizing interviews and we hope to complete the work helping more than 180 families. The social work has become an effective witness in our suburb, and we do not underestimate the enormous impact it has in our community. We meet people regularly who come for help and counselling, which gives us wonderful opportunities to speak the gospel directly one to one. Pray for genuine encounters with the Lord and lives transformed.
Thanks for your prayers as a family.
Thanks for being there.
